Valve has unveiled the first wave of titles to be granted approval on Steam Greenlight, including the eagerly anticipatedHalf-Life mod Black Mesa , which is due to launch on September 14. All 10 games in the first wave of the program will be distributed worldwide and released independently in the coming months. The first wave of greenlit games has been announced. Steam Greenlight launched on August 30 this year as a way to increase exposure for games on the Steam platform and lessen the bottleneck for the listing-approval process. Since then, over 700 projects have been submitted to the service, which allows developers to put up Kickstarter-like pitches for favourable ratings from users.
