Beijing.- Dominican boxer Felix Diaz’s convincing win marks the country’s brightest moment in the third day of the Beijing Olympic Games, while the rest of his compatriots competed with mixed results.

He dominated Armenia’s Eduard Hambardzumyan, 11-4, in the preliminary rounds of 32 boxers in the 64 kilogram category, and advances to the round of 16 on the 14th agaisnt Johnny Joyce, who beat the Hungarian Gyula Kate 9-5.
